Food & Drink | Our “Add To Trolley” Favourites

We were doing our weekly shop the other day and as we were “adding to trolley”, we thought we’d share our repeat buys beyond bread and milk. Some are useful, some are indulgent and some are family favourites…all are repeat purchases!

From Top Left to Right:

Cook with M&S Frozen Soffritto Base – not a glamorous product but so useful to have to hand. It makes it super speedy to cook up a soup, bolognese base or risotto.

Frozen Berries – not only are these great for smoothies but we use them to brighten up a G&T or simple soda water.

Spicy Broad Beans – the perfect little snack with a Friday night G&T.

M&S Collection Luxury Black Tiger Prawn Cocktail – for a light yet treaty supper, this prawn cocktail served with some crisp lettuce and a glass of white wine is a fabulous mid-week meal.

Minced Garlic – because sometimes we just don’t want to peel and crush garlic.

Stoats Raspberry and Honey Porridge Bars – these are great for when you’re on the go and need an energy boost in the mornings.

Belvoir Farm Botanical Sodas Floral Fizz – this can be enjoyed on its own with ice (and don’t forget to add some frozen berries!) or use as a mixer with vodka for Summer in a glass.

Pizza Pilgrims Pizza Kit – these kits are great for getting the children involved in cooking.

Picard Frozen Pain au Chocolat – we always have these ready for Saturday breakfast.

Brindisa Ortiz Anchovy Fillets – these are handy to have to add to some chilli flakes, garlic (the minced version makes it even speedier), olives and capers along with a tin of chopped tomatoes (these are the best) for a quick Puttanesca.

Picard Pasteis De Nata – these Portuguese style custard tarts are heavenly with a cup of coffee.

Coconut Merchant Organic Coconut Cream – add some of this to jasmine rice when cooking and then once cooked and drained, add the rice back to the pan with the lid on for a few minutes for beautiful delicately flavoured rice.

Bowl Grabber French Rose – a delicious rose in a can which can often be a hard find.

Oatly Barista Milk – a must have if you are reducing your dairy intake but love a frothy coffee or creamy hot chocolate…it also works brilliantly in tea, not separating like some nut milks.

Tony’s Chocolonely White Raspberry Popping Candy Bar – oh my goodness, the most indulgent, delicious bar of chocolate around.

Brindisa Paella Rice – we love chicken and chorizo paella (we know, not a “real” paella but it’s so yummy) and this rice looks perfectly every time.

Itsu Duck Bao Buns – keep a box of these in the freezer as a quick lunch or satisfying nibbles if a friend drops in for a glass of something and a gossip.

Strong Roots Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries – these are a whole lot tastier than chips and unlike some other brands are crispy.

Little Moons Coconut Mochi Ice Cream – the perfect little decadent treat.
